Heat index at the moment 98F and forecast to be in the 100s later.

Most of the surrounding towns have cancelled fireworks displays because of fire danger. Lansing is still doing fireworks. I don't know if I'll go tonight, I may chicken out because of the heat.

politics of the Michigan sort

I meant to post that Gov. Snyder vetoed the Voter ID Law that the Repubs had passed the other day. At least he did something right (or did I mean correct?).
